What CE Canvas Can and Can’t Do

An honest summary of what CE Canvas does today and where its current limits are, so you can plan around them. This reflects the current release and will change as the product grows — if something here looks out of date, let us know at support@cecanvas.com.

What it does today

  • Plan engagement end to end — from Project Context through the Engagement Canvas, Engagement Plan, Delivery, Results, Reporting, and Close & Learn.
  • Draft and analyse with EVA — extract context from your materials, draft canvas and plan sections, suggest tasks, and analyse results into themes and sentiment. See Working with EVA.
  • Export your work — Project Context, the canvas, plans, and reports can be exported to branded PDF or Word documents.
  • Bring in community feedback — upload files, paste responses, or sync from Typeform.
  • Manage a team and organisation — roles and permissions, branding, playbooks, and document templates.
  • Single Sign-On — connect your identity provider (subject to your plan). See Single Sign-On.

Current limits

Knowing these up front saves you waiting on something that isn’t there yet.

Billing and plans

  • There is no self-service payment or checkout in the app. Plans are arranged with our team and invoices are sent manually.
  • Your plan is descriptive — it records what you’ve agreed to, but it does not automatically lock or unlock features. Contact us to change plans.

Integrations

  • The available third-party results integration is Typeform. Other survey and feedback platforms aren’t connected yet — for those, upload or paste the responses.
  • Beyond results sync and SSO, there is no general integrations marketplace or public API for customer use yet.

Languages

  • The interface is available in English (Australian and US) and French. Other languages aren’t available yet.

AI (EVA)

  • EVA drafts and analyses; it doesn’t take actions. It won’t publish, send, delete, or change settings, permissions, or billing on your behalf.
  • EVA knows your account’s project list (scoped to what you can access) and works within one project’s detailed context at a time. It isn’t a cross-project or organisation-wide analytics engine.
  • EVA answers only from your materials and the product docs. If it can’t ground an answer, it will say so rather than guess. See Responsible Use of AI.

Scope

  • CE Canvas is a planning, delivery, and analysis tool for community engagement. It is not a public-facing survey-hosting platform, a CRM, or a project-finance system.
