Microsoft SharePoint · Limited beta
Availability: Selected Microsoft 365 organisations.
Connect a SharePoint folder to CE Canvas and import its documents into a project. Imported files become part of that project’s context — EVA can read and cite them when it helps you plan, draft, and analyse. SharePoint is Microsoft-only, so it needs a Microsoft 365 account with access to the site you want to connect.
Turning it on
SharePoint is enabled per organisation. When it’s on, it appears under Settings → Integrations in the Resources category. If you don’t see it, contact support@cecanvas.com to enable it for your organisation.
Managing the integration is available to organisation owners and admins.
Connecting a folder
- Open Settings → Integrations → Microsoft SharePoint and choose Connect.
- Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account and grant CE Canvas permission to read the files you select. You’ll only ever connect what you choose in the next step.
- Pick a site, then a document library, then a folder.
- Optionally associate a project so the imported files land in that project’s context. (You can also start the connection from a project’s Context/Resources area, which pre-selects the project for you.)
- Confirm. CE Canvas imports the documents from that folder.
Keeping documents up to date
Imported files stay in CE Canvas so they’re always available to the project, even if SharePoint is temporarily unreachable. Use Sync now on the connection to pull the latest versions after files change in SharePoint. Scheduled automatic sync is coming as part of the beta.
What it’s for
- Bring existing background documents — briefs, policies, prior reports — into a project without re-uploading them by hand.
- Let EVA ground its suggestions in those documents and cite them, so context comes from your source of truth.
Connected files are treated as project context/resources. Removing the connection stops future syncs; manage imported files from the project’s resources like any other uploaded material.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The SharePoint tile isn’t in Settings → Integrations | It isn’t enabled for your organisation yet — contact support@cecanvas.com. |
| Microsoft sign-in fails or is blocked | Your Microsoft 365 tenant may restrict third-party apps, or you may lack access to the site. Check with your Microsoft 365 administrator. |
| A folder or library isn’t listed | You need access to it in SharePoint with the account you signed in with. |
| Imported files aren’t the latest version | Use Sync now to pull the current versions. |
