Getting started
How do I create a project? From your organisation’s projects dashboard, choose New project, give it a title, optionally pick a workflow template, add a description, and set a status. Slug and project code are generated for you. See Getting Started.
How do I invite someone to my organisation? Go to Organisation Settings → Users → Invite Member. You can invite people as Admin or Member. See Roles and Permissions.
What’s the difference between organisation roles and project roles? Organisation roles (Owner, Admin, Member) govern the whole workspace; project roles (Owner, Editor) govern a single project. Org owners and admins get edit access to projects automatically. See Roles and Permissions.
EVA and AI
What is EVA? EVA is the AI assistant built into CE Canvas. It drafts content, extracts context from your materials, suggests tasks, and analyses results — always grounded in your project. See Working with EVA.
Why did EVA leave a field blank or say it wasn’t sure? By design. EVA won’t invent facts it can’t ground in your materials. A blank or “needs input” field means the source material didn’t support an answer — add the missing context and try again.
Is my data used to train AI models? No. Your project data is used to generate your response, not to train models. See Responsible Use of AI.
Can I trust what EVA drafts? Treat every draft as a reviewed first pass. EVA shows source chips and a confidence signal so you can check the basis, but the final judgement — especially on your decision space, stakeholder sensitivities, and public commitments — is always yours.
Planning
What’s the difference between the Engagement Canvas and the Engagement Plan? The canvas is a single-page visual planner for your engagement thinking; the plan is the fuller written document. They share information and are drafted alongside each other. See Engagement Canvas and Engagement Plan.
How do I draft the whole canvas at once? Use Draft with EVA in the canvas header, then choose which sections to draft in the picker. Empty sections draft in the bulk run; a few sections that need your direct input are edited in place. See Engagement Canvas.
What is a playbook? A reusable scaffold of methods, phases, and tasks for a type of engagement. Applying one sets up your project’s workflow. See Engagement Playbooks.
Results and reporting
How do I get community feedback into a project? Upload a file, paste the responses, or sync from Typeform. See Results.
Can I export my work? Yes. Project Context, the canvas, plans, and reports can be exported to branded PDF or Word documents.
Account and billing
How do I change my plan? Plans are arranged with our team — there’s no self-service checkout in the app. Contact support@cecanvas.com. See What CE Canvas Can and Can’t Do.
Which languages are supported? English (Australian and US) and French.
How do I set up Single Sign-On? An organisation owner or admin configures it under Organisation Settings → Authentication (subject to your plan). See Single Sign-On.
